Workspaces

Organize teams and projects with workspaces in Qualflare. The top-level container for managing team members, access control, and testing activities.

Workspaces

A workspace is the top-level container in Qualflare for organizing testing activities, managing team members, and controlling access to projects.

What is a Workspace?

A workspace contains all projects, test cases, launches, and results. Workspaces isolate data between different teams or organizations while providing collaboration features for members within.

Workspace Hierarchy

Everything in Qualflare belongs to a workspace. Projects are created within workspaces, and all testing activities happen within projects.

Workspace Features

  • Team Management: Invite members, assign roles, control permissions
  • Project Container: Create multiple projects for different products or teams
  • Billing: Subscription and usage tracking at workspace level
  • Settings: Workspace-wide configuration and preferences
  • Isolation: Data is isolated between workspaces for security and organization

Use Cases

Single Workspace: Most companies use one workspace for the entire organization. All teams collaborate in the same space with separate projects for different products.

Multiple Workspaces: Large organizations or agencies may use multiple workspaces to:

  • Separate different companies or clients
  • Isolate environments (production vs staging testing)
  • Provide completely independent teams with their own space

Workspace Management

Workspaces are created during sign-up. After signing up, you can:

  • Rename your workspace
  • Invite team members
  • Manage roles and permissions
  • Configure workspace settings
  • View billing and usage information

Workspaces are created during the initial sign-up flow. See the Quick Start guide.

What Lives at the Workspace Level

A few things are configured once per workspace, not per project:

  • Plan & Billing — the subscription tier (Starter/Core/Scale/Enterprise, or the free Open Source plan) applies to the whole workspace, along with usage limits like AI credits and stored test cases. See Plans & Pricing.
  • Single Sign-On & SCIM Provisioning (Enterprise) — SAML connection setup, verified domains, and automatic user provisioning are all workspace administration surfaces, not per-project settings. See SSO & SCIM Provisioning.
  • Audit Logs — a workspace-wide record of significant actions taken by members or the system, for compliance and security review. See Audit Logs.
  • Privacy settings — including the AI training-data opt-out toggle. See Workspace Settings.
