Use Qualflare alongside Zephyr or Xray
Qualflare can't import Zephyr or Xray test cases. Keep your manual tests there, and upload automated results from your pipeline to Qualflare with the qf CLI.
Last updated
Qualflare imports test cases only from TestRail, Qase, Testmo and Allure TestOps, so a team on Zephyr or Xray keeps its manual tests there and runs Qualflare alongside: qf <identifier> collect uploads your pipeline's test results, and each upload becomes a launch.
What you can move from Zephyr or Xray
Qualflare has no importer for Zephyr or Xray, and no integration with either.
| Zephyr or Xray | In Qualflare |
|---|---|
| Test cases and their folders | Not imported. Keep them where they are, or create cases in Qualflare by hand: Create and edit test cases |
| Automated test results | Uploaded with qf <identifier> collect; Qualflare finds each suite and case by name and creates the ones it doesn't have (Manual and uploaded cases side by side). A result that includes steps replaces the steps of the case it matches, including steps you wrote by hand (Steps on matched cases) |
| Manual runs, cycles and executions | Not imported. Run manual tests in Qualflare with the Test Wizard |
| Jira issues | The Qualflare app for Jira files new issues from Qualflare defects (Connect Jira) |
Qualflare doesn't import generic CSV or spreadsheet files, or its own export.
Before you begin
- A Qualflare project (Create and manage projects).
- A project access token with Allow writes off, which you create in Project Settings > Access Tokens Editor+ · project (requires the Editor role or higher in the project). See Access Tokens.
- qf on the machine that runs your tests (Install Qualflare CLI).
- A result file your test runner writes, such as JUnit XML (Supported formats).
Upload automated results
Log in with qf
Save the token under a local identifier, such as myapp; qf asks for the token:
qf login myappAdd the upload to your pipeline
In CI, run qf login <identifier> --force with the token in QF_TOKEN, then the same collect command in a step that also runs when the tests fail. See CI/CD integration.
Connect Jira
The Qualflare app for Jira files Jira issues from Qualflare defects and test failures. It works with Jira Cloud only, and it isn't public on the Atlassian Marketplace yet: to try it, message Qualflare in the in-app chat or email support@qualflare.com. See Jira Integration.
Run Zephyr or Xray and Qualflare in parallel
Your Zephyr or Xray test cases and their runs stay where they are. Qualflare holds the launches of your uploads, with failure clusters and flaky test detection. Qualflare sends no results back to Zephyr or Xray.
Limitations
- No import from Zephyr or Xray: Import takes only TestRail, Qase, Testmo and Allure TestOps exports.
- No result sync to either tool.
- The Jira app files issues; it doesn't read or update Zephyr or Xray tests.

Manage test cases in Qualflare: organize suites, write steps, find cases on Explore Cases, import or export them, and plan with milestones and test plans.
