AI Features settings and limits
Qualflare AI usage limits by plan: Quo messages per day and month, monthly launch and case analyses, failure clusters held, resets and the project AI switch.
Last updated
This page lists every AI usage limit in Qualflare by plan and the one project AI setting; the daily Quo message limit resets at 00:00 UTC, and monthly AI allowances reset on the workspace billing day.
AI usage limits
Each AI feature in Qualflare has its own allowance, set by the workspace's plan (see AI usage limits in the glossary).
| Allowance | Unit | Starter | Core | Scale | Enterprise | Open Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Failure clusters | failure clusters | 2 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Not included |
| Quo messages per day | messages per day | 10 | 50 | 100 | 5,000 | 10 |
| Quo messages per month | messages per month | 100 | 500 | 2,000 | 100,000 | 100 |
| AI launch analysis | launch analyses per month | 10 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | 100 |

Quo messages
Each message you send to Quo counts once toward both the daily and the monthly limit, and so does each AI filter you generate on Explore. On Plan & Billing they show as Agent Messages (Daily) and Agent Messages (Monthly). At either limit, Quo shows an error with a View plans button. See Quo and AI filter.
Launch analysis
AI Launch Analysis uses one analysis per uploaded launch it analyzes, and a launch where nothing ran uses none. At the limit, new launches show Analysis skipped. On Plan & Billing this is Launch Analysis. See AI Launch Analysis.
Case analysis
AI Insights uses one case analysis per uploaded launch in which its redundancy check runs. At the limit, the check is skipped and flaky detection continues. On Plan & Billing this is Case Analysis. See AI Insights.
Case suggestions, coverage analysis and step generation
Case suggestions, coverage analysis and step generation are Quo's own monthly allowances: when Quo suggests cases, analyzes coverage or generates steps, it also uses that allowance. On Plan & Billing they show as Case Suggestions, Coverage Analysis and Step Generation.
Failure clusters
The failure cluster limit counts the clusters a workspace holds at once, across all its projects, not a monthly use. At the limit, failures with a new pattern are still saved with their results, but they are not grouped. See Failure Clusters.
When allowances reset
The daily Quo message limit resets at 00:00 UTC every day. Monthly allowances reset each month on the workspace's billing day, yearly plans included. Changing plans doesn't reset them. A subscription that isn't active keeps its monthly counters until it is active again.
Who can see usage
Only the workspace Owner can see AI usage: Plan & Billing in the workspace sidebar needs Owner · workspace (requires the Owner role in the workspace). See Plans and limits.
Project AI settings
Qualflare's project AI settings page has one setting.
Location: Project Settings > AI Features (Project Settings)
Enable AI Features
| Setting | Default | Who can change it |
|---|---|---|
| Enable AI Features | On for new projects | Editor+ · workspace (requires the Editor role or higher in the workspace) |
The switch turns every AI feature in the project on or off. In the web app today, you also need the Editor role or higher in the project itself. See Roles and permissions.
What stops when AI is off
When Enable AI Features is off:
- The Quo icon is hidden from the toolbar, and Quo refuses messages for the project.
- The AI filter on Explore is refused.
- New launches get no AI Launch Analysis. The launch shows AI is switched off for this project.
- Failures in new launches aren't grouped into failure clusters.
- AI Insights stops looking for Redundant cases. Flaky detection keeps running, because it doesn't use AI.
Below the switch, the page lists Test Case Generation, Defect Analysis and Coverage Suggestions. These rows describe what AI does in Qualflare. They are not separate settings, and you can't turn them on or off one by one.
