Data retention and deletion

How long Qualflare keeps test results, uploaded screenshots and videos, exports, notifications and audit log entries, and what deleting an account removes.

Last updated

Qualflare keeps your test cases, suites, launches and results until someone deletes them, on every plan and with no retention setting; a few kinds of data are deleted on a fixed schedule, such as uploaded screenshots, videos and traces after 30 days.

What Qualflare keeps until you delete it

There is no retention setting, and retention is the same on every plan. Test cases, suites, launches and results don't expire: Qualflare keeps them until someone deletes them. Files you attach to a test case in the app are kept the same way.

What is deleted on a schedule

Uploaded screenshots, videos and traces are deleted after 30 days

Screenshots, videos and trace files that qf <identifier> collect uploads with your test results are deleted 30 days after upload. They disappear from the result and can't be restored. Download any you need to keep before then.

Qualflare deletes these automatically, on every plan:

DataDeleted after
Screenshots, videos and trace files uploaded with test results30 days
Export files30 days
In-app notifications90 days
Audit log entries365 days

Trend charts show at most the last 90 days. Only the chart history ages out: your launches and results stay.

Integration delivery records, which the project's Recent deliveries panel lists, are deleted after 30 days (Recent deliveries).

When you delete your account

When you click Delete Account, Qualflare deactivates your account at once and signs you out everywhere. Qualflare erases the account permanently 30 days later, with your profile, sign-in methods, access tokens, workspace memberships and Quo conversations; to stop the erasure before then, contact support as Getting Help describes. For the steps, see Delete your account.

When you delete a project or the workspace

Deleting a project removes it and every test case, suite, launch, defect, and milestone in it, for everyone. You can't undo it or restore the project in the app.

You can delete a workspace only after you delete every project in it. Deleting a project permanently removes its test cases, suites, launches, defects and milestones. Deleting the workspace then removes it for everyone. You can't undo either step in the app.

For who can delete each one and the steps, see Archive and delete.

The Privacy Notice section 10 and the Data Processing Addendum (Annex 1B and section 14) set out how long Qualflare keeps personal data, including backups and data after a subscription ends.
