Create your account and workspace
Sign up for Qualflare with email, GitHub or Google, confirm your email, start a trial from a plan link, and name your first workspace and project.
Last updated
To create a Qualflare account, sign up at app.qualflare.com/register with email, GitHub or Google, then name your first workspace and project in a three-step setup; a sign-up from a Core or Scale plan link starts a 14-day trial.
Before you begin
- An email address you can read mail at, or a GitHub or Google account whose email is verified there.
- For a trial, the plan link from Start a trial.
- If a teammate invited you, open the link in the invitation email instead: Join a workspace by invitation.
Open the sign-up page
Go to https://app.qualflare.com/register. Choose Continue with GitHub or Continue with Google, or fill in First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Password.
Use 14 to 256 characters for the password. No mix of upper case, digits or symbols is needed, and Qualflare refuses common and breached passwords.
Create the account
Click Sign Up. If you chose GitHub or Google, you come back signed in instead: go to Set up your workspace and first project.
Confirm your email
The page says Verify your email. Open the link in the email within 60 minutes, enter your password on Confirm your email, and click Confirm email. If the email doesn't arrive, click Resend email; only the newest link then works.
If the address already has an account, you still see Verify your email: Qualflare emails that account instead of creating a second one, so sign in instead.
Set up your workspace and first project
After you confirm your email and sign in, the setup opens. It has three steps.
Name your workspace
Choose a Workspace Type: Team for your team's projects, or Open Source for a public GitHub project (Activating the Open Source plan). Enter a Workspace Name and a URL Path, each 3 to 32 characters. Click Next.
The URL Path identifies the workspace in its app URLs, and you can't change it later.
Create your first project
Enter a Project Name and a URL Path, which you can't change later either. In an Open Source workspace, pick the GitHub repository, and both come from it. Click Next.
Invite your team, or skip
Type an address in Email Address and click Add, once per address, then click Finish. An address still in the field is sent too. To skip the step, click Finish with no address. The step notes: Invitees will join as Viewers — you can change roles later from workspace settings. To change an invitee's role later, see Change a member's role.
On Starter, the workspace has 1 member seat, so an invitee can't accept until a seat is free (What happens at a limit).
Qualflare shows Almost there... and opens your project. You are the Owner of the workspace and of the project. Its Overview shows Set up this project, the steps to upload your first results: continue with the Quickstart.
Start a trial
Sign up for a Core trial · Sign up for a Scale trial
- The trial lasts 14 days and needs no credit card.
- During the trial, Core has 3 seats and Scale has 10.
- The app keeps the plan from the link for 24 hours, so finish the setup within a day of signing up. A setup after that, in a new tab, creates a Starter workspace.
- A plain sign-up, or a Team workspace without a plan link, starts on the free Starter plan.
- An Open Source workspace gets the Open Source plan, with no trial.
During the trial, Plan & Billing shows the days left and Subscribe and pay.
For what happens when the trial ends, see Free trial.
Join a workspace by invitation
The link in the invitation email opens the invitation. Without an account, click Create Account: the sign-up page shows You're invited! and names the workspace and project, and the invited email address is filled in and can't be changed.
There is no confirmation email: you are signed in and taken to the invitation. If the workspace requires single sign-on or two-factor authentication, the app says Your account is ready. Sign in to finish joining the workspace.
Already have an account? Click Sign In on the invitation instead. Then see Accept an invitation.
Create more workspaces and projects
- Create a workspace, from All Workspaces in the workspace switcher.
- Create a project, from the workspace's Projects page.
Verify
You should see your project's Overview with Set up this project, and your workspace in the workspace switcher with its plan in capitals, such as STARTER.
